Where Screenplays Meet Technology
LitCentral is a software company dedicated to dramatically improving the quality and efficiency of script management and development, unleashing benefits for screenwriters, studios, production companies, and ultimately the viewing public. We have employed the latest in software technology to create a Web-based and desktop workflow management system that is cost-effective and easy to use; our patent-pending coverage analysis software streamlines the development process. If you read and analyze creative works such as screenplays, treatments, synopses, etc., you will benefit directly from LitCentral.
Simply stated LitCentral’s coverage is groundbreaking. Our coverage is a hybrid service that takes bland coverage one step closer to in-depth script analysis at a fraction of the cost.
What is an RPA score?
Rubric Point Average is equivalent to academia’s GPA (Grade Point Average) and ranges from 1.0 – 4.0. Our patent-pending methodology for scoring screenplays utilizes a rubric (see Wikipedia’s Definition of a Rubric). We base our RPA on 20 story structure elements (i.e. premise, protagonist, mid-point, dialogue, etc.). Each element is given a score from 1 thru 4. Your RPA is the average of all the scored elements combined.
Does the coverage report consist ONLY of a bar graph and an RPA score?
No, your coverage report includes a cover sheet, brief synopsis, character breakdown, written feedback broken down by story element, an individual score for each element displayed in a bar graph, and an overall RPA score. See Sample Coverage.
How much does LitCentral’s Coverage cost?
LitCentral has one of the most competitively priced coverage services on the market starting at $129.
Other coverage services cost as much as $299. How can LitCentral afford to produce a superior coverage report at such a competitive price?
Since 2005 LitCentral has spent an impressive amount of time into research and development to better understand how to fuse technology with the development process. Our efforts have resulted in a set of tools given to our LitAnalysts that allow them to analyze a script as it is being read - saving time and lowering the cost of covering scripts.
